LOVE YOUR BONES

wearing a diy shirt / skinny pants from SOLO / Boots - dR.mARTEN'S

White has been always tricky for me..It virtually adds weight and thickness on my entire sillhouette. And being a messy boy that I am, i never fail to ruin its purity by frequently murdering it with ink markings, accidental dusty prints, and the inevitable loose powder sprinkles. In the hospital where I am garbed with an all white nursing uniform, my day wouldn't end without the funny remarks among the staff, doctors and employees regarding how untidy I am. Some even doubted whether I really laundry my uniforms which I think is hilarious. That's why i try not to wear white ,not only because I wear white 24/7 from work but im super messy.

But seeing Ann-Sofie Back's past summer collection, I couldnt resist the haunting yet opulent impact that an all WHITE outfit could offer most especially this summer.

Also lately, I always get this unexplainable euphoria whenever i see a plain white shirt.. virgin, unadulterated yet crumpled.. Thoughts, creative juices start pouring in as i study the blank canvas. Its as if I was given a clean sheet of paper for some nonchalant doodling and coloring.
By default, I always cut the hemlines and the collar to make it look young and liberating. i dont understand collars.. they strangulate my throat and my chest. But this time, I , once again, used an old trick to make the shirt more personalized. ...TEXTILE PAINTS!!!!

What was supossed to be a blood stained shirt din't turn out the way I expected it to be. i shouldav made the colors more intense but obviously the redness of this cheap textile paint I bought wasn't that deep and carnal.whatever.. I still think that it made the ripped sections look like a blooded ribcage or vertebra.haha. Im planning to wear it , say, for a beach vacation or in a pool party. I just wish that the colors wouldnt contaminate the water. i discovered that it can be worn both ways too.

sheesh! I guess I need to buy more white shirts this time . My friend Nicole told me that it retails at 50 pesos in Greenhills. My dad almost killed me when he learned that I demoralized his undershirts for work... sorry dad. haha.
