remember the time when i said that im gearing into a minimalist phase? the no necklace and no ring look. im taking it back. im swallowing what i've uttered . yes i swallow.

Anyway, i was completely mesmerized when i saw the necklace collection of blogger friend , Miguel Paolo Celestial or El Bosquejo. He writes in a men's magazine and he creates accessories too. Ive been reading his blog and i have seen his diy necklaces everytime he post outfits of the day but these items that he sells are just beyond amazing. The HARDWARE collection , accdg to him, was his first collection. He used odd specs and materials like hinges, eyelets, grommets, bobbins, stainless steel nuts, clasp and buckles and various beads made of steel, plastic and coated nickel. He started December 2009 and the Hardware collection was then joined by other collections, namely: Sacre, Djinn, Feline, Nunca, then finally, Sand which you can view on his site. He works fast yet meticulous, in fact he only designed the pieces in one month time.

I like the idea that he was resourceful enough in creating the vision and feel of his jewelry. It was a coalescence of neo-futuristic and post-apocalyptic taction. It's chunky but it looks flawlessly done. I imagine them being worn by sci-fi heroes and the like. If only i have such skills to create but i'll leave them to creative geniuses like him.
I reckon that these metallic pieces are going to look grand versus the soft and light clothes that I usually wear. I need these necklace so much. Its one piece per design so its definitely a keeper.
