I feel so blessed to have real friends who work hard for themselves and for their brands. I mean it inspires me more to hone my craft . There's Mike Magallanes of Paradigm Shift , Nicole Puentevella of Soule Phenomenon, AJ Omandac and Paul Jatayna of OS , Yekky Balingit of Miadore , JP Singson's Unisex and one of them is our new found friend, Ally Duazo of Gold Dot shoes. I already know her thru online and she's so so sweet , giving me free shoes and all.

So yesterday she invited me to visit her HQ and just hang out. . I wanna see whats behind the brand, how they work, the raw sketches ,etc... from 3pm to 8pm , we just talked about shoes, bloggers , boyfriends haha..

plus I want to see her immense shoe collection! haha


I dont really have this intense obsession with labels or designer brands but if it slaps you in the face like hello then you cant help but shriek in excitement like I did when I went to her walk in closet... The smell of leather and the towering boxes of shoes will greet you when you walk in.

After that I went to her office and she allowed me to see her sketches ...her future designs and collection and the fabric swatches... We also went inside her stock room full of Gold Dot goodies!
She was also kind enough to teach me the nitty gritty of the business side. I always get so so confused with how the sales , income , blah blah work but now I somehow know what to do thanks to Ally. She shared how she started her business all by herself and by recognizing the relevance of bloggers , she earned more recognition. I also learned so much that a simple shoe isn't made just like that. It requires a lot of science and physics. Now I respect her even more because she really knows how to work with and for her brand.
