Nicole and her husband , Francis played great hosts during our stay in Bacolod City . They toured us around the city's most lovely resto's and artsy place but when they mentioned that we are going to have our snack at a famous pastry shop, I failed in hiding my excitement. I squealed like a mad pig. I love cakes. I eat the icing first and I am a glutton when it comes to those spongy sugared colored bread. Whoever invented cakes must be adorned. Calea is one of Bacolod's secret weapon. It's so special that the owner refused to have their store franchised. There are only 2 shops in Bacolod and that's it. So if you want to taste them cakes, there is no other choice but to book a flight to Bacolod.
