OUTFIT / Boss Blazer (Margiela)

blazer - Maison Martin Margiela

Trying to look composed and neutral with my boss blazer but in truth I was a clumsy case all throughout. I kept on tripping and slipping whenever I step on the slimy maple leaves. Not a good sight if you're trying to look like a fashion editor slash fashion buyer lol.  Enough with the self-loathe. I am so excited to show you my Margiela blazer. It's got this sharp exaggerated sleeve detail that resembles a blade or a fin. I remember designing a pumps with this similar excess fabric detailing. What I love about Margiela is how he (or the house) celebrates pieces that deviate the normal pattern of clothing pieces. It's like mutating pieces and he did it so well. My arms looked so awkward being sandwiched in the sleeves but whatever!
I paired the blazer with a thin maxi skirt from Ann Demeulemeester which was easy to fold and knot whenever I struggle walking. I love the liberating feeling of being able to wear skirts in this buzzing city of Seoul.

And again, I took these photos in Gyeongbokgung Palace where the colors of autumn leaves created a splendid moment for us.
