Little has been written about my work. I know this is supposed to be a blog where i could blabber the proverbial "everything under the sun" stuff. However, i feel that i must save some part of me from all these so-called self-parading, self-exposure process which i admit i am guilty of.

People would even ask me if i really feel passionate about my work since judging from how i look, id prolly be some newbie designer or a stylist from somewhere but thats the whole point. I love the fact that i am in this irony...of being a nurse and an observer i may call. Like im some fictional hero with his alter-ego . I smile in the fact that I am in this slight juxtaposition of enjoying the sand and the beach at the same time if you get the analogy. I would be so scared if i'm gonna be immersed in the abyss of what we call the fashion world. its a tough world out there and being confined in the hospital feels home for me. i somehow liked the job im in. Its not all about the smelling and tasting the vomit, the stentch, the blood and seeing death flicker in a split second, its also about seeing how love and connection works between people.

Surprisingly its my anniversary of being a nurse. i can hear DESTINY'S Child- Survivor in the background haha. I am glad i dint give in to "quitting" during the first 5 months where Id always cry after work because of extreme pressure and exhaustion.

I could never say what my future holds, for i dont usually fathom its complexity, im just here and i just enjoy. I call in sick to attend parties and go to work tipsy(not everytime) . Id blog about the fun stuff ,meet people then work for 8 hours again in the hospital. Thats how my life is pretty much going on right now and its fine.actually for me its grand.

I JUSt never thought id get this far haha. and mind you, i havent harmed a single patient since i got in, knowing that i am quite careless at times. yah.. Thats all.

  4. happy anniversary karl.

it's funny how people can be so quick to comment on what they see in your blog when half of the time it doesn't even constitute for most of your life.

i believe this space is your way to express that artistic side of you but it doesn't mean you don't enjoy that part of you as a nurse. only you can define that complex mixture of opposing elements that blend into a harmonious existence that is your life. just be passionate in what you do and i think you'll be alright ;)

  5. Hi Karl! :) You know I've read beforehand that you're a nurse (back previous posts). Nung nalaman ko, nagulat ako sa isip ko kasi hindi nga talagang "mukha". As in, no trace as I see it.

But since you decided to blog about it, I truly agree with you. We as online publishers are gatekeepers of our own blogs. It our choice whether or not we want to save something for ourselves. :)

It's good that you are an irony, the element of surprise is always present and it's what makes you more interesting. It's a way of telling people you're not one dimensional (as they may think you are) ^___^

Maganda kaya rumampa sa hospital corridors. Hehe.

    Melai
    style and soul :)

  8. That's why you're so loved by many... I remember the time I first saw your chictopia account, I was like "He's a nurse?" and then I started admiring how confident you can get when you're wearing your DMs...It's a totally different person and I love that you're still so humble. I love that you brought out the vulnerable side of Karl. MwahMwah ;*
