Jeremy Laing FW 2012, shoulder molder
A more architectural Jeremy Laing this time. There was a palpable mastery in the usual boxy body - skinny leg formula that's been with us for the past few seasons yet he has done it with flare . There were also visual entertainment as provided by the aged-effect dyes, metallic cotton, quirky stripes and the bold yet minimal textures. He was inspired with post-goth sensibilities and I like the way he translated Goth. Clean.
Strange, the only bit of this collection I didn't like were the oversized, boxy jackets! And of course it's the only bit that was really new, the rest being classic Laing... Oh well, the rest was beautiful though :)
